Introducing timeblocks: your go-to for website support
What's a timeblock?
Timeblocks are pre-paid blocks of time (aka bundles of support hours) designed for small, contained tasks that help keep your website running smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably, without the need for a full project or VIP sprint.
They’re ideal for ongoing care, light updates, and expert support when you need it.
Why timeblocks?
Smarter use of time
With a reduced hourly rate and time tracked in fair 15-minute increments, you get focused, efficient support without the friction of one-off invoicing
Efficiency
Say goodbye to piecemeal invoicing. With timeblocks, we cut down on admin for both of us – no more chasing small invoices
Predictability
Your cash flow is sorted. You’ve prepaid and know that you’ve got me in your pocket as your go-to website superstar
Priority
Timeblock clients get preferential treatment. When you need something done, you’re at the top of the list
How do they work?
It’s simple! All timeblock work is tracked in Moxie (my CRM system) and billed in 15-minute increments for clarity and fairness.
For example:
- a 12-minute task = 15 minutes
- a 28-minute task = 30 minutes
- a 40-minute task = 45 minutes
This approach keeps tracking clean, avoids dozens of tiny “5-minute” requests, and ensures focused, efficient work.
When your timeblock runs low, I’ll give you a heads up so you can top up and keep things running smoothly.
Support requests are scheduled around existing client commitments and availability; timeblocks provide priority access, not guaranteed same-day delivery.
Validity & usage
- Timeblocks must be used within their stated validity period
- Unused hours do not roll over
- Timeblocks are non-refundable
- Timeblocks are not shared between businesses or websites unless agreed in writing
What timeblocks are available?
Timeblock package (total hours) | Package price (AUD) | Expiry (from purchase date) |
|---|---|---|
3 hours | $510 + GST | 3 months |
5 hours | $850 + GST | 3 months |
10 hours | $1600 + GST | 3 months |
20 hours | $3000 + GST | 6 months |
Pricing is current as of 12 January 2026 and may change in the future
Important: Timeblocks are designed for ongoing support, not one-off projects or large batches of work that require a scope of work, for example, a website redesign or adding a shop to your website. See below for more information.
What timeblocks can and can’t be used for
- Timeblocks can be used for:
- content updates or changes
- small design tweaks or refinements
- troubleshooting minor issues
- plugin or theme updates (where appropriate)
- performance-friendly improvements
- accessibility-related adjustments (non-audit level)
- training, guidance, or “how-to” support
- reviewing and responding to website questions
If a task fits neatly within a short timeframe and doesn’t require a full strategy or rebuild, it’s usually timeblock-appropriate.
- Timeblocks cannot be used for:
- full website redesigns or rebuilds
- new page builds or complex layouts
- adding eCommerce or major functionality
- large structural or navigation changes
- accessibility audits or full remediation
- performance or eco-optimisation projects
- carbon footprint optimisation (covered by the Surge VIP Sprint)
- tasks requiring a formal scope of work
- third-party troubleshooting beyond reasonable investigation or where access, documentation, or support is unavailable
- inherited, unstable, or heavily broken sites without prior review
If a request falls outside the scope of a timeblock, I will advise on the most suitable next step, whether that’s a VIP sprint, a project proposal, or an alternative solution.
Onboarding and set up (required)
All new timeblock clients are required to complete a one-time onboarding & setup fee of $250 + GST before work begins.
This covers:
- reviewing your website setup
- creating safe working backups
- assessing your hosting environment
- ensuring stability before changes are made
This step protects both your website and the integrity of the work.
NOTE: Existing clients who have recently completed onboarding (within 12 months), either through this process or via project work, do not need to pay this again.
Emergency support
Emergency support is reserved for critical issues only (e.g. site outages, payment failures, security concerns) and is offered at my discretion, subject to availability.
Emergency support is only available to clients with:
- completed onboarding
- an active timeblock or maintenance plan
Emergency support is billed separately at emergency rates and is not deducted from your timeblock hours.
NOTE: Emergency support is not guaranteed and may not always be possible, even if eligibility criteria are met.
Timeblocks are designed to provide calm, flexible access to specialist support – not unlimited availability or open-ended project work.
They work best when paired with proactive care, clear boundaries, and the right service for the job.
Need something bigger?
If your request would benefit from deeper focus, strategic optimisation, or measurable performance and carbon improvements, I will recommend the most appropriate option, including a dedicated project or VIP sprint.
